Three Tops Tips for any Business Sales Executive
When you are in sales, you confront clients and customers every day. You have to be personable and easy-going, yet aggressive and pushy all at once. You have to close a sale and make a customer feel glad about it. Your job, after all, is to improve people’s lives with your products. Selling them improves your life, and hopefully receiving them improves the clients’ lives. If they feel taken advantage of or “ripped off” in the end, you may have made a sale but won’t have a repeat customer. that’s not being a career salesman, and its not executive-level sales. There are three points to keep in mind when making sales:
- Always ask the appropriate questions. You want to elicit responses from buyers that help them sell themselves on the products, that help them realized that these products or services you sell are truly going to improve their lives.
- Don’t make the client feel sold. It’s the old “Tom Sawyer whitewashing the fence” trick. You want them to buy your product, feel like they are getting a deal, and enjoy every minute of it.
- guide the client into the sale at his own pace. Some clients are impulsive and make decisions quickly, others have to be led step by step through each and every benefit of the product or service. Be patient and go at the client’s pace.
