Succeed with Excellent Executive Business Planning
When setting out with an executive plan for a new business, remember: business planning is an art. It is also a science. Business planning must be done carefully and correctly, and if it is, you will have no trouble at all getting your business off the ground. Let’s take a look at some of the most important aspects of executive business planning:
- Make sure you begin with a vision: What are the values upon which your business will operate? What is your business trying to achieve, both on macro and micro levels? What are your priorities? These are all aspects of the vision that will help to determine the character of your business.
- Be sure to understand your industry, research your customers, and determine market conditions before setting out a budget. Budgets are very dependent upon the planning process and the background information. These budgets, therefore, should not be approximate!
- Network with customers to determine needs that need filling. The more involved a business person is with his or her potential customers, the more he or she is able to fill needs that arise. Assuming you know your customers is a big mistake and could be any business person’s downfall!
