Small Business Governance Meetings Can Be Easily Spiced Up

small business gov 300x176 Small Business Governance Meetings Can Be Easily Spiced UpIn your small business or networking group, introductions probably happen on a regular basis. Folks will go around the table, introduce themselves, hand out their business cards, and hope to make important connections. The problem with this type of meeting opening is that people do tend to get bored and turn out. Some have heard the intros many times before, while others are so anxious waiting for their turns that they can’t pay attention to the other speakers.

One method for spicing up the introductory part of your small business governance meeting, networking group gathering, or chamber of commerce get-together is to give participants a few minutes to get to know the others, informing them they will be expected to introduce someone else. Then, as you go around the table, this time people will introduce each other rather than themselves.

One of the advantages of such a program is that it really does encourage networking among professionals, brings a bit of levity into the situation, and often business men and women can get better, more enthusiastic introductions than they would have given themselves!
