The chief investment officer of a California pension fund has resigned in the wake of losses due to a second hedge fund collapse.
David Deutsch will leave the San Diego County Employees Retirement Association on March 19 after tendering his resignation last week. The move follows the arrest last month of the principals of WG Trading Co., a Connecticut hedge fund in which the pension had invested $78 million. source
