Networking Effectively is an Excellent Executive Level Business Strategy

executive level business Networking Effectively is an Excellent Executive Level Business StrategyWhen networking for best effect, be sure to hand your cards out generously. Don’t invest in cards that are so fancy, precious, and expensive, that you don’t want to part with them! The name of the game is getting rid of them! So give your cards to everyone from business associates to family and friends. Give them to complete strangers as well. Always have a stockpile as backup and always keep several in your wallet. When attending business or networking functions, bring an extra stack! One business card in the right hands could bring in thousands of dollars in business, so never hoard. Give, give, give!

When networking with your business cards, never ask, “do you know anyone who is hiring?” instead state that you would appreciate a referral “if you know anyone who could use my services.” This enables the other person not to feel pressured by a hungry job-seeker. If they state they may know someone, then give two cards! Always offer to refer the other person’s card to someone as well. Even if you haven’t any idea who could use their services, be congenial and imagine that someone will come along. Don’t lie. Just know that you never know who you’ll meet, so it is entirely likely that that card will indeed get passed on to someone useful.

When networking, remember that you are just as valuable to the other person as he or she is to you, so put your energy into networking for others and they will surely return the favor.
