Most Large Business Strategic Management Issues Revolve Around Finding Affordable Talent

business strategic management 300x198 Most Large Business Strategic Management Issues Revolve Around Finding Affordable TalentStrategic management means organizing a business with saving money in mind. It means figuring out how to do better than other companies in terms of finding the best workers, making them the happiest workers, yet paying them at a strategic level. Where are these low-cost workers to be found? After all, you must have the best talent. There is simply no substitute for high-quality, well-educated employees. They can make or break a business. Well, there are methods for finding suitable talent at an affordable price. Here are some ways to do it:

  • Immigrants are often well-educated individuals with a lot to offer. Until they improve their English, however, they must take lower wages than a comparable worker. Pay them fairly, but somewhat less than a naturalized citizen.
  • Watch the “mommy track.” Many highly educated, intelligent women have taken time off from their careers to raise a family. These individuals make great independent contractors or part-time workers. When they decide to re-enter the workforce full time, they must sometimes take lower pay because of the break in the continuity of their employment.
  • Interns can be very useful and cheap or free. If you are willing to provide on-the-job training, an internship program could stand your company in good stead.
