Jobs With Customer Service
- Tailoring the level of service and effort given to each customer depending on their status, loyalty, etc. is a big mistake.
Don’t fuel your attention more toward potential customers than existing ones or be colored by apparent money or celebrity. Consistency is key, that is what a customer will remember and come back for.
- Listen and understanding customers needs.
Convene in a weekly meeting with colleagues to discuss current issues and bounce solutions off one another. Ensuring everyone is handling problems with the same sense of urgency will help maintain that consistency and help to problem solve more effectively. Role playing is a good excercise to give everyone on your team tangible examples of how to interact with customers and handle difficult situations.
- Treat everyday on the job like your first day.
Arrive on time, leave later, by putting in that same gusto you did from the get go, your effort will translate into your success and will be very noticible to both customers and clients and to your managers. This attitude keeps you open to learning and improving as well. Never assume you’ve mastered your craft, there’s always room to rise and improvements to make.
- Superior customer service must define your mission.
Align your purpose with your customers’ and remember your ultimate objective of achieving repeat business and building loyalty.
