Get Your Business Management Diploma by Applying at the Right Time

business management diploma 300x199 Get Your Business Management Diploma by Applying at the Right TimeWhen applying to business management school, students should know the crucial difference between round admissions and rolling admissions. Applying at the right time is crucial but that right time is different for different schools. Schools that utilize round admissions, for example, usually offer three different rounds of acceptances.

  • Round one: fall semester
  • Round two: winter semester
  • Round three: spring semester

Applying during round one is generally preferred, since fall admissions are traditional. Also, the slots are all open at this point, so there is a higher percentage of applicants chosen. During round two, the available slots have dwindled, but if a student simply needs that time to retake the GMAT or prepare an excellent application, then this is one possible strategy. Round three should be avoided, however, as very few spots are open at this point.

When applying to a school with rolling admissions, a different strategy must be followed. These schools accept applications continually between two pre-determined dates. The spots in the program are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the earlier the application the better.

If you are interested in getting into an MBA program, remember that there is more to acceptance than a great academic resume. Strategy plays a big part in the process as well.
