Don’t Trust your Fellow Business Executives?
If you don’t trust your fellow business executives, don’t worry, you aren’t alone. They probably don’t trust you either. Not to worry, this is all part of the game of business. You will try to take over someone else’s job some day, after all, and if you don’t, you should. How else will you move up the ladder? There is also the issue of corporate spying to contend with, so there are many many reasons not to trust your fellow executives. Take these three tips to ensure the security of your information:
- Don’t talk too much. It is always tempting to give out personal information around the water cooler, but don’t do it. Keep professional information confidential, and personal information even more so.
- Exercise control over access to information. Ensure that passwords are secure and not being passed around the grapevine. Always know who has access to what and check to make sure there are no security breaches.
Photocopy everything in your wallet. Understand that if your wallet is stolen, each and every one of these items is useful to an identity thief. Have all the information hand in case you have to prove you are yourself.
