Customer Service Jobs Resume
A resume is a fluid depiction of you as a professional. It can always be tweaked and improved, and a ‘final resume’ will never exist.
Here are some pieces of advice regarding resumes for customer service jobs and tips on creating and improving the instrument responsible for snagging an interview.
Objective or summary: who are you, and what do you want- this should be seamless and concise, so there is no ambiguity as to why you’re a viable fit for the job opportunity at hand. This section should be tweaked with each individual job, tailoring it to the specifics of that job function.
Professional experience: document as specfically and quanitatively as possible your work history, focusing on the skills you’ve built in these jobs that will translate directly into the new position.
Education: List whatever graduate education, college, or high school if no college, and any other professional certifications such as the CLS.
Skills: Computer and language are the two most common examples.
Interests: Optional, but if there’s a charity you’re heavily involved in, or any hobby or interest that somehow speaks to your ability to work within the customer service arena, cite that as well.
